Burnaby, BC – Enigma Interconnect Corp. has added an Altix LED direct imager to its Burnaby plant. The system was installed in May 2026 as part of our 2026–2027 technology roadmap.
Direct imaging writes the solder mask pattern straight from your design data onto each panel. With the Altix in place, all of our solder mask is now direct imaged.
What it means for your boards
- All solder mask direct imaged
- Solder mask dams down to 2 mil
- Tighter copper-to-solder mask registration
Why it matters for your designs
Narrow solder mask dams keep mask between closely spaced pads, which helps prevent solder bridging on fine-pitch parts. Tighter registration means mask openings line up more accurately with the copper pads underneath, so you can design with smaller clearances.
The Altix joins the maskless direct imaging we have used for circuit layers since 2013, and the other 2026 upgrades listed on our equipment page.
