RF & controlled impedance

RF and controlled impedance PCBs

Low-loss and high-frequency laminates, hybrid stack-ups and verified impedance, built in Burnaby (Metro Vancouver), BC.

Materials

Laminates for high-frequency and high-speed designs

High-frequency laminates

Rogers, Arlon and Isola high-frequency materials, with low dielectric loss for signal integrity at mmWave frequencies and high data rates.

High-speed FR4

Megtron 6, FR408-HR and Isola 370HR for high-speed digital and AI hardware, alongside standard FR4.

Hybrid stack-ups

Combine RF laminates with FR4 in one board to put performance where you need it and control cost.

Controlled impedance

Impedance that is measured, not assumed

Impedance traces are verified on a Polar CITS 880s test system, with reports available. A Barmu digital line width gauge validates critical features.

To validate impedance before we build, send:

  • Signal layer
  • Reference plane layer(s)
  • Impedance line width, ideally a unique width on that layer
  • Target impedance with tolerance
  • A suggested stack-up

Give us room to suggest small adjustments; it's the surest way to hit your nominal value.

Fine features

Built for tight geometries

  • Direct imaging for all circuit layers and all solder mask
  • Trace and space down to 0.003" (0.075 mm) on outer foil
  • Back drilling and controlled-depth drilling to remove via stubs
  • ½ oz base copper recommended for finer, more accurate traces
  • Plasma etching and PTFE activation planned for winter 2026 / spring 2027, see our equipment roadmap
